Eliza Kellberg has been dancing for over 20 years.  She studied at the University of North Carolina Asheville, where she received her degree in dance and creative writing. She has held professional roles as a dancer/performer for The Asheville Ballet in the Dirty Dancing Festival, been a member of Trillium Dance Company, and has danced with the Burklyn Ballet Theatre. Since 2016, she has been an instructor in WNC for many public and private schools.

When Eliza was 10, she was introduced to Jazz at The French Woods Performing Arts Camp in New York. Over the past 20 years she has studied from such notable dancers as Joyce Stahl, Denis Hyland, Ann Dunn, Tricia Renshaw, Fleming Lomax, Allison Hertzberg and more. She has studied gymnastics, ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary ballet, and character dance. Eliza has danced with the Coffee Mill Dance Studio in her hometown of Key West, Florida, the Key West High School Competition Colorguard and Eurythmics Team, the local Key West Dance Team, and the Asheville Academy of Ballet. She has studied at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City.

Eliza is a ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acro, and contemporary instructor and teaches all ages at beginning and intermediate levels. She has worked at Vance Elementary teaching dance in the after school enrichment program. Currently, Eliza teaches at WNC Dance Academy, Black Mountain Center for the Arts (formerly the Director of the Ballet and Contemporary Dance Program), and is the Founder of Looking Glass Dancers Society, a local community organization. Teaching is inspiring and making connections with kids and adults in a dance class is such a rewarding experience for her. Her energetic and patient style of teaching helps children feel comfortable when learning a new skill.  She believes that dance is the most wonderful experience for people of all ages and can express creativity like nothing else.
